TIM TAM SLAM!

things are still good on this side of the world, however i seem to have hit a brick wall with my apartment hunting. ive looked at quite a few places but havent seemed to click with any of them. so i am trying to decide if i will stay here in melbourne for an extended time, or start off with some traveling. my weekend is already planned out so i wont be making any decisions until next week. ive spent the last week exploring the city and looking for an apartment. i am trying to find a place to live before settling into a job since i would really like to work close to where i live.

pat has found a really nice place in st kilda (just down the street from luna park) with three lovely girls. they have been super hospitable and dont seem to mind that i am staying on the couch. i am looking at a place tomorrow morning then will be meeting up with michael collis's sister in the afternoon. friday i will be going to see the lucksmiths, then on sat pat's roommate's friend is having a 21st birthday party. it will be nice to go out!

well im a bit shattered at the moment, im having quite a bit of time getting over this jetlag for some reason. also i will post a few pictures soon. i am having trouble finding my camera cord, it is hidden in the depths of my bag.

its june.....

... and the leaves are falling!!!!

i made it to australia and the most shocking thing is it is fall here. i knew it would be this way, however it is still a huge SHOCK!!! it is so cold in fact i decided i needed to get some hot chocolate. so here i am having one of the best hot chocolates from a place called 'chocolate by the bald man max brenner' and borrowing wifi from dlink. pat is here too and can confirm the hot chocolate is amazing. this has been a long day, it started about 5 am for me. the jet lag isnt too bad, but i did go to bed at about 6 last night. should be back on track after today. it is still a little too early to call about apartments but will be contacting people this afternoon. my job search will begin once i have found a place to live, i would like to work near my house so i can walk to work. everything is going well and i am looking forward to the next few months. i purchased a pay as you go phone and will be more than happy to give you my number if you send me an email (i think it would be a bad idea to post it up on a public blog....). not much has changed over the last few days, except my location, so i think i will end this post here.

moving to australia

i am moving to australia in about a week, so exciting! i am also egotistical enough to think that you might be interested enough in my move to check in on this blog. :P this blog will allow you to check in on my travels if you would like while at the same time keep your in boxes free of massive email updates. i will try to update it regularly with photos, stories, etc.
